My last article for the year 2019 was Master Diver 1000 by Neminus and the brand is back again with a new set of divers collection – Xtreme Divers which features 3 different dial variation; Marine Salvage Diver (red), Deadhead Logger (black) and Nuclear Reactor Diver (yellow). As this article is a bit late (my sincere apologise to Neminus), I do hope today’s hands on review will be published while the kickstarter campaign is still active and live till 25th May 2020. Anyway, this is Neminus’s 3rd series collection, following a successful release of the Spacemen and Master Diver 1000 on kickstarter. Hence, no introduction is necessary for a brand like Neminus

Before I move on with hands-on review, I am happy to share starting with today’s review, I will be collaborating with a local photographer (Zeit Photo) to produce some professional photoshoots for the brand, only if time permits. Happy to share some of the amazing shots taken by Zeit Photo and please do check them out if you are interested in engaging them. FYI – my collaboration with Zeit Photo is free of charge in addition to the free written review. However, watch brand owners are free to reach them at for a separate collaboration and you can check their watch portfolios at

Here’s my detailed review of Neminus Nuclear Reactor Diver…

Case : From first glance of the watch, it looked like an ordinary and common diver case shape, that is commonly found on most dive watch brands. But what Neminus has done interestingly on such case was to add word of designs around the case to give it an aesthetically difference as compared to others. There’s a de-bossed “NO FEAR” statement, limited edition number assigned to each case and the brand name (which will be removed during mass production). I like how such simple engraving can turn an ordinary common case into a bold and fearless look to match with its’ model name. The rounded ceramic bezel rotates anti-clockwise with 120 clicks, and turns smoothly on the prototype that I had. There is a crown guard protecting the screw-down crown which has an engraving of the brand logo on it.

Calendar Date : This is an interesting concept of a calendar date that requires a special section for me to mention here. I think this is the most interesting part of the watch where the brand incorporate a roulette colour scheme design as shown on the picture. Regretfully the prototype did not came with this design, hence I can’t give my opinion on this but from the rendering, I do think it is an interesting concept.

Dial : The prototype that I received was the Nuclear Reactor Diver version. One of the errors done by the brand watch manufacturer was the incorrect model name printed on the dial, which the brand owner acknowledge of this mistake. Now, back to the dial… similarly to their previous model – Master Diver 1000, the dial incorporates 3d effect and multi-colour concept that looks like a snake skin. The bright yellow colour scheme was chosen to represent the nuclear symbol. The hands are the same design as Master Diver 1000 but in stainless steel colour instead. The lume on the hands, dial index and bezel are bright as it should be.

Caseback : As you can see from the above picture of the caseback, it has a deep embossed skull in the center with waves surrounding it as a background. According to the brand, the skull represents the passions of Xtreme divers that live their life dangerously and the wavy waves is the water element that these divers breathe and live by every day. I really like how the skull is designed not well-balanced aesthetically but to make it looked jovial and happy.

Strap & Travel Roll : Basically inside the box, there is a genuine leather travel roll that is able to store up to 4 watches or strap / accessories in it. However, on the kickstarter, backers will be receiving a suede leather watch roll instead. Inside, there are 3 straps of different type and material included. A genuine leather nato, premium rubber strap and a matching canvas horween strap will be provided for each watch. I really like the canvas strap and its’ wavy buckle to match the diving theme. Not a big fan of nato strap, so can’t comment much but the quality is definitely good. As for the rubber strap, it’s one of those straps you need to go for any water activities or rough sports which can come in handy. Overall… I would say all the straps provided are definitely quality !
