I always have a soft spot for bullhead watches especially when I had my first experience owning a Stuckx “The Bull”. This review is no surprisingly another bullhead model by Dart Watches, a new microbrand with a plan to launch its’ first model, Wahoo Chronograph on Kickstarter sometime in May 2018.
In 1989, I was a 10th grader and didn’t pay much attention to the news. I was busy trying to secure a date, get better at football and golf and generally act the awkward teenager. However, I do remember the wall coming down. It was a big deal. It was all over the news.
In creating the Spaceman, NEMINUS pays tribute to the astronauts who graced the infinite space to study, research and explore the unknown for the benefit of mankind and from different aspects of the astronauts training, space travel, space shuttles, experiences, etc.
Radius Watch Company is created by Harold Robb and his father 17 years ago and they already created and design watches for Harvard, Yale and Dartmouth universities. They have a successful KickStarter campaign with Grand Icon C & L. Black version is C series and Blue version is L series, so here is my Radius Grand Icon L watch from KickStarter campaign.
First off I want to say I like the Phoibos Wave Master a lot. With some design elements similar to the Tudor Black Bay and a few other watches, it is in my opinion an amazing watch for the money.
I’m still relatively new at blogging, but I enjoy it. As a hobbyist, I get a chance to see and wear new and different horological goodness. I see a fair amount in Kickstarter form, and I never really know what will show up at the door. Happily, Moduco is another in a long line that does not let me down. Revived in 2015, Brellum is a Swiss watch company that dates back to 1885 and is currently under the control of Sebastian Mueller, a 4th generation watchmaker with over 25 years experience in Swiss watchmaking.
Wancher is a brand from Japan started by Taizo Okagaki in the early 1990’s. The company began offering writing instruments and recently added watches to their product lineup. For this review I have their Extreme GMT and Ranger II GMT watches, both of which I consider to be affordable, well made with strong attention to detail.
Peren are back with their third release, the Nera. If you haven’t heard of Peren before they are a successful Kickstarter brand from Romania drawing on their Transylvanian roots to create stylish and contemporary designs.
Limerence Watches is a new brand to the micro world but their first release is already hugely successful, raising over 140,000 USD on Kickstarter in January. The watches have now been made available for pre-order on Indiegogo so if you missed out on the Kickstarter round, you can still get in with a pre-order discount.
