How we vet suppliers
The MBWW supplier directory is built by hand. Every entry is researched, checked and written up by us rather than pulled from a marketplace feed, and each supplier carries a plain note on how far we have been able to confirm it. This page explains what those signals mean, so you can weigh a listing before you spend time or money on it.
What the verification labels mean
Each supplier shows one verification status. It describes how we confirmed the company, not how good its products are.
- Email verified. We exchanged email with the supplier and confirmed a live, responsive contact.
- Website only. The listing is built from the supplier's own website and public information. We have not yet reached the company directly.
- Alibaba. The supplier is listed through Alibaba, and contact runs through that platform rather than a direct line.
- Verify directly. Details are limited or unconfirmed. Treat the entry as a starting point and confirm the specifics before you order.
The verified badge
A green Verified badge is set by an MBWW editor by hand, and only once we are satisfied a supplier is genuine and reachable. It is separate from the verification status above, and we would rather leave it off than hand it out.
How a supplier gets listed
Anyone can apply through the Get Listed form, but an application does not go live on its own. It lands as a draft, we review the company, and only then do we publish it, set its verification status and, where it is earned, the verified badge. Suppliers we cannot stand behind stay unpublished.
Verified reviews
Reviews come from people who have worked with a supplier. Every review is held until an editor approves it, and only approved reviews are shown or counted toward a rating. An unverified review never reaches the page.
Who is behind this
The directory is maintained by Gil at Microbrand Watch World, drawing on our own sourcing experience in the microbrand trade. If you find something out of date or wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
