After the forced hiatus of the last two years, exhibit initiatives are resuming with great vigor, especially with less widespread brands that are difficult for enthusiasts to examine. And in this vein lies microLUX, which makes its Austin debut at the Ao5 Gallery in the Arboretum shops in November, after the success of its last Chicago edition.

“The physical exhibit format is particularly interesting for watch fans and boutique manufacturers,” explains Rich Park of the YouTube channel, whatsonthewrist, and founder of microLUX, “because it gives enthusiasts the chance to see and touch the quality of the most esoteric and fancy brands. Generally, inside these proposals, you find great quality, infinite passion, and a price/performance ratio that is difficult to find in the more established Maisons.“
“Above all, the importance of this event stems from the possibility of wearing a timepiece you may have heard about for a long time and which you cannot find in traditional shops and malls. And possibly to take it home right away, perhaps with a nice discount on the list price.“
How is the Austin exhibit
The event is organized in collaboration with Zodiac Watches (we have talked about them here), Cimier Swiss Watches, and Seaholm Watches. You will find around 40 exhibitors – from which it will also be possible to buy at the fair. Among them you will find brands of all kinds and types, ranging from local heroes such as Seaholm Automatic, DuFrane, The Ugly Watch Co., Fossil, Trafford Watch Co., Outcast Watch Company and Roebuck Watch Co., to well-known American and interesting foreign brands.

Admission for watch enthusiasts to MicroLUX Austin is free of charge: simply register at www.lamicrolux.com, and you will be able to try on the watches on your wrist and meet the people who designed and created them. Also, you will enjoy wine and cocktails offered by the sponsors, perhaps while discussing our great passion with other watch lovers attending the exhibit.
The list of brands includes Zodiac, Cimier, Perrelet, Leroy, CVSTOS, Sacred Crafts, Towson Watch Company, DuFrane, Laco, Itay Noy, Armand Nicolet, Core Timepieces, Luminox, Mondaine, Sablier, Out of Order, Hadley Rille, Delma, Timeless Watches, Vortic, Farr + Swit, Restrepo, Etien, SWC, Ocean Crawler, The Ugly Watch Co., Tsao Baltimore, Zenea, Hesili NY, Outcast Watch Co., Bernhardt Watch Co., Fossil, Roebuck Watch Company, Trafford Watch Co., Eugen Wegner.
