Watches of Italy reaches its third edition

WOI – Watches Of Italy (website in Italian only) is the Italian watchmaking exhibition that has been a great novelty in the panorama of the sector, and it is taking advantage of the hopefully mild Italian Autumn to launch its third edition, precisely on the weekend 15/16 October 2022.

Buoyed by the excellent results achieved in previous editions, which speak of more than 3,000 visitors and about 50 participating companies, it aims to become even bigger and better this year. The main novelty is the introduction of an innovative exhibition-market section for vintage lovers, which is expected to involve even more enthusiasts of a sector in great development.

As always, the event, organized again in the Museo delle Macchine Agricole “Orsi” in Tortona, Via Emilia 446, will gather all the excellences of Italian watchmaking production, so we’re talking about timepieces, but also straps, movements, and specialized systems and workmanship – and put them in direct contact with watch lovers. This is an excellent opportunity to try on your wrist the hottest new products from Italian manufacturers, including several very active brands on the world market, and take some of them away by taking advantage of the special offers practiced at the fair.

A novelty for the 2022 edition: vintage watches

Silvia Bonfanti, WOI’s Press Office Manager, tells us, “The watch is a concentrate of research, creativity, innovation, design and, in our case, “Made in Italy” craftsmanship. For this reason, we are taking steps to organize an interesting forum for debate and discussion with leading figures in the sector to take stock of the Italian situation, probe market trends, and try to sketch the future of watchmaking more generally.”

Fabrizio Dellachà, the organizer and coordinator of the WOI fair’s collective, adds, “We have created WOI to showcase and celebrate the talent of Italians working in the watchmaking world. There will be Italian and foreign brands from all over the world but united by the fact that they are all directed and managed by Italians. The world recognizes Italianness through the expression of creativity, design, innovation, and above-average technical/design skills. Watches Of Italy is an exhibition/market where you can see and feel the watches. You can also directly buy those on display or reserve new models thanks to the prototypes you can preview in person for a more informed purchase.”
