Back in June of 2018 I reviewed the Hemel HFT20, part of their HF series.  This includes a TMI/Seiko VK64 powered chronograph watch in your choice of a black, ceramic 60 minute bezel insert or an all stainless steel GMT bezel. The VK64  quartz movement combines a ⅕ of a second chronograph with mechanical like operation and a 3 year battery life. The 60 minute ceramic bezel watch has perfect dimensions, detailing and finishing of it’s brushed 316L construction along with Superluminova C3 lume on the face and ceramic bezel, a flat A/R sapphire crystal, 100M w/r, and a comfortable, beefy, stitched saddle leather strap and a reasonable $449 price tag.  I found this watch to be a wonderful example of a traditional and modern chronograph all in one.

Hemel has recently announced new additional variations to the line under the designation Night Ops Edition.  The new models are finished in all black for the case, pushers, crown and strap, in your choice of either a ceramic 60 minute bezel or a black stainless steel GMT bezel and a black face.  In addition, the case is now 2mm slimmer. The face will occasionally look blue due to it’s sapphire crystal’s A/R coating. In all other ways, including price, it is the same, great watch as before.  The Night Ops Edition brings additional high quality and value choices to the chronograph, tool watch market.
