Latest Microbrand Watch World News
Not many microbrands in today’s market are designing both watches and watch accessories as part of the brand’s product offering. Just before the lockdown started in Singapore, I got the opportunity to review a few of Vario’s watch accessories.
Before the whole covid19 / coronavirus epidemic went out of hand, I was lucky enough to meet up with Mr. Akshay Solomon, the co-founder of Audric Watches, a new brand from Singapore that would be joining the Microbrand Watch industry with their first Swiss made model – Seaborne 500 that is planned for 2nd June launch via Kickstarter.
There are so many newly revived watch brands on the market, it’s amazing. The secret for their success rests primarily in the internet that brings the world watch market to almost everyone with access. Rarely does a brand come back from the dead in its country and city of origin. Circula is an example of a watch company that has managed to do just that.
BOLDR Supply is a relatively new Microbrand from Singapore/Malaysia that started it’s journey into the watch world with an electronic smart watch misadventure. Through hardwork and determination they managed to recover and now the company offers six lines of watches; Venture, Expedition, Odyssey, Globetrotter GMT, Explorer II GMT and Journey.
As mentioned in my previous watch review on Neminus Master Diver 1000, I ended the last 2 weeks of 2019 with 2 new watches to wrist-buse it for review purposes, which the other watch I’m reviewing today is a pre-loved Fastback Phantom Black by Gorilla Watches.
Farr + Swit is a new Chicago USA based microbrand that has recently introduced its first watches, the Seaplane Automatic Midnight Landing and the Seaplane Automatic Day Trip.
Today’s review is gonna be SUPER… coz it’s all about SUPA… not man, but Diver. Presenting Advisor Watches 3rd model – SUPA Diver and currently scheduled to go LIVE at Kickstarter on 19 February 2020
Through some of my watch reviews, I was able to build close relationships with brand owners and sometimes I get to be part of their journey. It’s interesting because I felt like I am having the first dips to see what the new design is all about. Today’s preview is from Trifoglio Italia, a brand that I personally know the owner himself, Mr. Alessandro Baldieri and a brand that always create cool concept at an affordable price.
This week we have the new offering from the crack staff at Pramzius. If you recall, they had an extra special Berlin Wall timepiece that was fantastic. That watch had a terrific design and each contained pieces from the wall itself. These little nuggets were in the crown. In the limited time I had that watch, it received great compliments.
We were approached by the brand owner of AUDRIC (Swiss-made watch startup based in Neuchatel, Switzerland), Mr. Akshay Solomon to help create an awareness article of their upcoming launch of the first model SeaBorne 500m.
