One of the first watches I reviewed for Microbrand Watch World was from CX Swiss Military Watch. It was an indestructible dive chronograph watch that was large, heavy and imposing. For this review, I have another example of their chronograph watches.
DWISS was founded in 2011 by Rafael Simoes Miranda, a watch designer since 2006. Rafael has done designs for over 15 brands of watches and is a winner of numerous design awards. Nothing seems more appropriate than an experienced watch designer going forward with his own watch brand in Switzerland, the world’s center of fine watch manufacturing.
The people in TACS have been super awesome and sent me another watch to review. This time, it’s the Day & Night model from their latest collection. I am super excited about this watch as this is my first time trying out a single-hand dial watch concept, and it would be interesting where this review would lead me to. Let’s start with what Day & Night is all about.

Pantor is a recently introduced watch brand that specializes exclusively in dive watches. Currently there are five lines of dive watches sold within Pantor; the Sea Turtle, Sea Horse, Sea Lion, Seal and now the Nautilus.
Recently I reviewed The Chronograph from STOIC, a new microbrand started by the well known English watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin. Currently there are three watches in the STOIC line and for this review I have the STOIC Sports watch, which as the name indicates, is designed for sporting activities.
NOWA is a relatively new watch brand in a category that is best described as the hybrid smart watch or smart travel watch. In this case the watch looks like a conventional minimalist analog watch, but when linked to your smart phone with Bluetooth the watch can do many things that not too long ago did not exist to a timekeeping device worn on the wrist.
NODUS Watches is a new Los Angeles based microbrand that should really be noticed. The company has developed two exquisite lines of watches at this time, the Contrail and the Retrospect. For this review I have a Retrospect in Industrial Brown.
