Steinhart is a company well known for its affordable homage watches, or, perhaps we should use the term Steinhart is using on Its Instagram page – Watches for an honest price. When we come to think of Steinhart watches, the first thing that comes to our mind is homage to Rolex watches, something which Steinhart is doing for many years now, and what helped the company build a wide base of fans around the world. the latest addition to the company lineup is the Steinhart Architect – another homage collection of watches, although this time an homage to the legendary watch designer, Gerald Genta, and his iconic watch designs. let’s dive in together into this new collection and get to know them together.

Steinhart is unveiling three fresh models in its latest architect collection. All three models feature a 316L stainless steel case that has been meticulously satin-finished and polished, boasting a diameter of 39mm. The watch case is 11.5mm in height with a lug width of 14mm.
The watches are accompanied by the renowned octagonal bezel, which has become synonymous with the iconic designs of Gerald Genta.

The first model showcases a sleek black dial, followed by the second model with a sophisticated blue dial, and finally, the last model adorned with a captivating green dial. These dials exude a clean and elegant aesthetic, adorned with Arabic numerals at 6 and 12 o’clock, complemented by applied rectangular indexes filled with luminous SuperLuminova material.

Adjacent to the 4:30 hour marker on the dial, a round date aperture seamlessly integrates, utilizing the same color as the dial to achieve a cohesive and refined appearance. All three models boast horizontal lines on the dial, something which reminds us of Omega Aqua Terra dials.
The only thing that we didn’t like about the dial is the Steinhart logo, located under the 12 o’clock numerals, which grabs a lot of attention when you look on the dial.

All three watches are equipped with integrated bracelet with a stainless steel deployment clasp with Steinhart logo.
Inside the watches we find Sellita’s SW300-1 Elaboré Premium calibre, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 42 hours. The calibre is visible through the clear caseback of the watch. Steinhart is using a gold toned rotor with Steinhart logo.
All three models are priced at €840.00, they are available for order with estimated delivery time of 2-3 days.
What we think about it?
Steinhart has earned a distinguished reputation among watch enthusiasts by crafting homage watches that provide exceptional value for money. Their homage models have predominantly centered around renowned Rolex designs, a trend that numerous microbrand watchmakers have embraced. However, in recent years, there has been a noticeable rise in watch brands opting to pay tribute to Gerald Genta’s iconic models, spurred on by the growing popularity of timepieces like the TISSOT PRX.

These watches come with a slightly higher price tag compared to the Tissot PRX Automatic watches, placing them in a competitive position. While Steinhart is a well-known company, its watches and reputation still have some ground to cover in comparison to established brands like Tissot and numerous other microbrands that offer similar Genta-inspired designs. It will be intriguing to observe the reception of these watches among enthusiasts. Could the higher price tag make them less popular when compared to Steinhart’s Rolex homage timepieces? Only time will tell. We personally find Steinhart’s decision to venture into this new style, previously absent from their collection, to be an interesting and bold move.
