I recently had my first opportunity to attend a WatchBuys Road Show in San Francisco, California.  If you are interested in high quality German watches, particularly tool watches, I highly recommend attending these shows, if you are in the cities where they are held.

WatchBuys is based in Raleigh, North Carolina and currently they are listing upcoming events in Irvine, California and New York. They showcase the latest releases from Sinn, Hanhart, Fortis and Junghans plus a few exclusive handmade brands such as Jaeger & Benzinger, Jochen Benzinger, Dornblueth & Sohn, Stefan Kudoke and Thomas Ninchritz.

There are no sales conducted at these shows. The comfortable environment is basically the best way to examine and try on some fantastic watches and get some really good information from guys in the watch industry plus like minded watch lovers. Some of these watches are made in extremely limited numbers, such as the 20th Anniversary Sinn EZM 1.1 (500 pieces total) and the Hanhart Black Ops (only 82 pieces total to honor their founding in 1882).  I was impressed!  My favorite watch at the show?  The Fortis Official Cosmonautis Chronograph on Bracelet.  Here are some photos that I took at the event. watchbuys.com
